Accommodation

The Cape Town hotels in the Leisure Hotels Group are:

  • The Strand Tower Hotel and Conference Centre
  • The Fountains Hotel
  • The Lady Hamilton Hotel

The hotels in the Leisure Hotels Group take pride in their services, and also strive to be environmentally friendly as much as is possible, employing a Green Policy in all hotels, and supporting the Leisure Children’s Trust to provide a greater future for learners in Cape Town.

The Strand Tower Hotel is located in the heart of Cape Town’s Central Business District (CBD). It offers 4 Star facilities and is ideal for business, conference as well as leisure travellers. The hotel is perfectly positioned and is within walking distance from the business centre and also within easy access to many of Cape Town’s many major tourist attractions, such as Table Mountain, the V&A Waterfront and the ferry to Robben Island. The pool deck on the second floor is like a lush, relaxing oasis in the middle of the city. A gym area and sauna/steam room with fabulous views of Table Mountain will help guests to relax after a hard day’s work, whether they are staying in the hotel for business or pleasure!

As is customary with hotels that form part of the Leisure Group, personalised service is also a major priority at the Stand Tower Hotel. All our visitors can therefore expect to be received with nothing less than the legendary South African charm and hospitality. Since this is a family-run business, there are many personal and special touches. A fine example of this is the Leisure Group’s attempts to run environmentally friendly establishments. This is evident in the attention the Leisure Group pays to ec0-conscious issues like recycling and conservation. With its gym, sauna, bar, restaurant and satellite television, the Strand Tower Hotel is so self contained, our guests almost never need to put a foot outside. But this is Cape Town, a city renowned for its many amazing restaurants – many of which are in such close proximity to The Strand Tower Hotel, that our guests can actually walk there.

The Lady Hamilton Hotel is another jewel in the crown of the Leisure Group. Built in the early 1950’s, the Lady Hamilton has a distinctly colonial feel and is surrounded by other historical buildings. The hotel, which is located in Cape Town’s beautiful and tranquil Gardens neighbourhood, is within walking distance of vibrant Kloof Street with its trendy and quaint shops, deli’s, top restaurants and coffee shops. Table Mountain towers above Gardens, but you need not be a skilled and mountaineer to reach its uniquely flat summit. The cable car that transports tourists to the top of this quintessiantially Capetonian landmark is just a short drive away from the Lady Hamilton Hotel. It is a trip worth taking, because on clear days, visitors get to see breathtaking panoramic views of the entire Cape Town and the surrounding peninsula.
